🌿 Welcome
If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you’ve experienced a loss that changed your life forever.
Maybe you’ve lost a sibling, a parent, a child, a partner, or someone who felt like a part of your soul.
Before anything else, I want you to know this:
You are not weak for struggling.
You are not broken for not moving on.
And you are not failing because some days feel harder than others.
Grief changes everything.
It changes how you think, how you feel, how you see the world, and sometimes even how you see yourself.
For a long time, I searched for answers. I wanted someone to give me a roadmap for the pain. I wanted certainty.
What I eventually learned is this:
Grief is not something we get over.
It’s something we learn to carry.
This guide is not therapy, and it is not here to erase your pain.
It is a collection of lessons, reflections, and tools that helped me keep going when life felt impossible.
My hope is simple:
That something inside these pages helps you take one more step forward.
🕊️ What is happening right now
In the beginning of grief, your mind often goes into shock.
You may feel numb. Disconnected. Or like none of this is real.
This is your mind trying to protect you from something overwhelming.
There is nothing wrong with you for feeling this way.
You are not meant to process everything at once.
🌫️ What you might be feeling
You might notice:
- emotional numbness
- sudden waves of sadness
- trouble focusing
- feeling disconnected from people
- moments where it hits you all over again
All of this is normal.
Nothing about your grief means you are doing it wrong.
Day 1 Activity — Naming Your Reality
🌿 Your Journal
You can either write this in your personal journal you already have, or you can answer it here.
This space will save your reflection so you can come back at any time and see your progress over time.
(Questions + Answer below 👇)
Take a moment and answer these honestly:
What has changed in your life since your loss?
What is the hardest part to accept right now?
If you had to describe how you feel in one sentence, what would it be?
🧠 Important reminder
You do not need to solve anything today.
You do not need to “heal” today.
You only need to notice what is present.
That is enough.
🌙 Closing
Today is not about fixing anything.
It is about acknowledging where you are right now without judgment.
That alone is a step forward.
You are still here.
And that matters.
